Position Summary:

The inventory manager will develop and implement all inventory management processes for all regions of the company. Additional specific tasks will include but are not limited to coordinating physical inventory counts or cycle counts, gathering and analyzing data to facilitate decision-making and development inventory adjustment processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-departmental communication within the company to resolve inventory initiatives-related issues. (eg. Transportation, Merchandising, Accounting, etc).
  • Build and lead the company’s National Inventory Team to support all Distribution Center locations.
  • Coordinate and oversee physical inventory counts and reconciliation for all Distribution Center locations as required.
  • Monitor inventory levels of products or materials in warehouses.
  • Manage and hold accountability to FEFO and FIFO policies by gaining an extensive and highly detailed understanding of our inventory product needs, levels, and warehouse management systems.
  • Identify damaged, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory items and help develop action plans to reduce shrinkage/loss.
  • Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations, and stocking levels, including summarizing into Management Reports.
  • Support operations with validation and completion of miscellaneous inventory transactions.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Set up new employees and provide training as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualification:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or supply chain management-related fields is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. Additional education can be in lieu of experience.
  • 5+ years of inventory control or related experience is required.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Proficient in using Google Suite and MS Office Suite applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of Inventory control and quality assurance practices
  • Leadership skills for hiring employees, resolving conflicts, and keeping employees on task and motivated
  • Strong organizational skills in managing multiple moving pieces, people, and orders.
  • Strong critical-thinking skills to establish action plans and routinely assess their effectiveness.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to anticipate problems before they happen and handle them appropriately when they happen.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated the ability to lead and supervise teams to complete projects efficiently and on time.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
