Tawa Supermarket was established in 1984 by Mr. Roger H. Chen. Due to the demand for Asian food in the area, Mr. Chen opened the first store in Westminster, CA (Little Saigon). In the past twenty years, Tawa has satisfied the needs of oversea immigrants by providing them with their hometown flavors. Today, Tawa has developed from an individual market into a grand diversified organization. We now serve customers from all over the world.
As of the end of 2001, our supermarket division owns twenty-one full-service stores in California and one store in Washington. Tawa has also successfully opened independent licensee stores in Nevada and Indonesia.
